About Bluhr
We built Bluhr because we got tired of the hangover being part of the plan.
Not just the headache. The fog. The wasted morning. The feeling that relaxing always had to cost you something the next day.
The Blue Hour
In photography and culture, the Blue Hour is the time just after sunset — when the sky softens and the day finally exhales. It's the threshold between work and rest, between the noise of the day and the ease of the evening.
That moment deserves a ritual that matches it. Not a drink that blurs it.
Why kava?
Kava (Piper methysticum) has been the evening ritual of Pacific Island cultures for generations — consumed before community gatherings, used to mark the transition from the working day, and shared as a sign of welcome and calm.
The active compounds in kava root — kavalactones — interact with the body's GABA system to support relaxation without intoxication. You feel calmer, more present, and at ease. Not impaired. Not checked out. Just reset.
We built Bluhr around 300mg of kavalactones per serving — a meaningful dose, clearly labeled. Then we added L-theanine for clarity, magnesium bisglycinate for ease, and saffron for mood. Every ingredient is there for a reason.
What we stand for
Transparency over hype
We list our kavalactone dose on the label because it matters. Most kava products don't. We think you should know exactly what you're consuming and why.
The ritual over the rush
Alcohol is fast. Bluhr takes 20 minutes. That's not a bug — it's the point. The Blue Hour is for slowing down, not chasing a high.
Wake up how you want to feel
Bluhr doesn't borrow from tomorrow. You relax tonight and wake up as yourself. That's the standard we built this to.
