What is kava, and what are kavalactones?

Kava (Piper methysticum) is a plant from the South Pacific traditionally used as an evening relaxation ritual. The active compounds in kava root are called kavalactones — they interact with GABA receptors in the brain to support a sense of calm without intoxication. Bluhr contains 300mg of kavalactones per serving, clearly labeled on every canister.

When should I take Bluhr?

Bluhr is named after the Blue Hour — the time between day and night when the sky softens and the day exhales. Most people take it in the early evening when they want to feel calmer and more present, whether they're going out or winding down at home.

How do I use it?

Mix 1 scoop with 8–12 oz cold water. Shake or stir for 15–20 seconds. First time? Start with ½ scoop to assess your comfort level. Do not exceed 2 servings per day. Most people notice the onset within 10–20 minutes, with effects lasting 2–6 hours depending on the individual.

Is Bluhr a sleep aid?
